Pastoral Staff Tim Addis has been pastor of Friendship since 2002. He loves serving God with beautiful wife, Vanessa, and two wonderful sons, Sammy and Nathan. He is a graduate of Southeastern Seminary and loves hunting and playing XBOX with the boys. Emily Kane is the worship leader and college ministry/counseling intern at Friendship. She also works part time at University of Tennessee's Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) as their college ministry intern hanging out with college students, leading a Bible study, and coordinating their weekly worship service. Originally from Northern Virginia, close to Washington D.C., Emily graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a major in psychology and minor in music. Eric Miller is the coordinator of the Catalyst Media Ministry at Friendship Church. He helped create the media department over seven years ago and continues to participate in the production of the "Rewind" videos and other media projects., as well as the preparation for each of the Sunday services. Eric grew up in Louisiana, but has found his home in Knoxville, TN in 1986. Eric currently works for the Knoxville Police Department and has begun his own video production company called "infocus.media". He enjoys spending time with his wife, Christie, and his awesome children, Christian and Callie. He is an devoted New Orleans Saints & UT football fan. Contact Eric. Shawn Thornton is currently responsible for the facilities at Friendship Church. He is also involved in many ministries, such as Clothes Closet, Angel Food, and has been on many mission efforts with Friendship. Shawn loves spending time with his wife, Mary, and his four children, Jessica, Sumer, Kayla, and Shawn. Shawn enjoys hunting and fishing, and just about anything else outdoors - except shopping. He moved to Knoxville in January of 2002, and now proudly calls it home. Since November 2008, Shawn has been employed with Knology and has over thirteen years of experience in the cable industry. Christie Miller is both the administrative assistant and Angel food coordinator here at Friendship Church. Christie grew up in Knoxville, TN and has been married to her husband Eric since July 1999 and has two beautiful children. Christie received her Bachelors of Science in Child Development and is currently pursuing her Masters in the Art of Teaching through Liberty University. Christie works as a licensed chiropractic assistant and insurance specialists for First Choice Chiropractic. Her previous ministry experiences include: Sunday school teacher, children's church assistant, leader of Team Kid, short term missions to Alabama, Minnesota, Romania and Venezuela. Her favorite books include "Redeeming Love", by Francine Rivers, because it reminds her of Christ's unconditional love for us and also "The Hiding Place", by Corrie Ten Boon, because it reminds us of His Faithfulness.
